old tutorials week: skeleton key valentine

[This week, I will be posting the tutorials I have not been able to recover when this blog went bonkers.]

This was a spur-of-the-moment DIY Valentine’s Day gift for the boyfriend. It’s simple and fun.

What you need: small skeleton keys, 1 padlock to match, silver photo frame, black fabric or black felt paper, hot glue.

Notes: you skeleton keys must not be too thick or you will not be able to frame it.

What you do:

1. Glue the black fabric or black felt paper to the cardboard  backing of the frame.

2. Arrange the skeleton keys in a heart shape on top of the black fabric/felt paper. Glue when you are happy with the shape. Add a pair of padlock and skeleton key near the bottom for visual appeal.

3. Frame with the silver frame and present to your special someone with a note.

    1. I absolutely adore this! Where did you find the keys?

Oh these are bead skeleton keys :) Found them in a craft store.

  1. I were just wondering what happened to the tutorial of your kind of “infinity-dress”?? I really loved the tutorial but never had time to do it, but now when I do I see that you have taken the tutorial away?? Or am I wrong?
    Thank you!!:D

Hi! You are referring to the “skirt to dress” tutorial. It’s up. :)
