As it is hotter than boiling point these days, you would think that the passing of time would be slower, more pronounced. Strangely, days went by fast that it has been four days since my last post. But then, there is also the possibility that the heat has turned my brain into jelly, making me unaware that the days ARE going turtle-slow in this lazy summer. How disconcerting, this thought.
But considering that I made a huge difference in my alteration pile makes up for all the lost time. I just had to shorten two pencil skirts and one halter vintage-y dress. No fancy alteration but I was proud of what I did with this beige/white eyelet dress I bought on eBay. As per usual, the dress was too long for me. I decided to just hack it and turn it into a blouse since it doesn’t have lining anyway. The armholes were still too large so I gave it a pinafore-like shoulder finish.
Behold:

1. fold; 2. attach button; 3. enjoy perfect armhole size
Perfect laid-back blouse for a road trip with friends? I think so.

unless i change my mind at the very last minute, i will be cruising along the northern highways of Cebu in this outfit come saturday
Oh yeah, I’m going road trippin’ and beachin’ this weekend. See y’all Monday, loves!

Simple, yet effective transformation. Love the equestrian cap (it looks like one, anyway)
