Who went out of the house in a skirt that needs ironing?

Gundemmit, I hate ironing. I admit that I am not the most domestic person but I can summon the appropriate amount of enthusiasm for some chores. Folding newly-laundered clothes, for instance, is something I look forward to. I also love washing the dishes. Even cleaning the bathroom/toilet! Just play random noisy songs at full volume and I’ll give you a pristine comfort room in two hours, tops.
But ironing…Dear old ironing… I think I’d rather chop a hundred onions. Ironing is second to cleaning the windows in my list of “Chores You Can’t Pay Me $1M to Do.”
How about you? What chores do you hate? Wanna trade?

I can totally relate. Ironing? I’m not a fan, either. That, and vacuuming. :)

Good thing I don’t have anything to vacuum in my place. Haha

Don’t you hate that ironing is often such a vital part of sewing?
I disagree with you on the toilet thing–major UGH!
Jun 02, 2010 @ 11:16:38
Haha yeah! Not the best part of sewing. That and cutting the pieces.

Cool!

I absolutely loathe ironing. I think I’d rather do laundry + dishes instead of ironing haha. I think its mainly because it’s so cramped in our apartment that putting an ironing board anywhere will just be *annoyingly* in the way.
Love the belt! I saw a cute one yesterday that was a dark brown leather and the edges were ruffled in a white cotton… I was SO tempted to get it but I looked at the circumference of the thing and just knew right off the bat that there would be no way I’d be able to fit the thing. *sniffle*

Same here! Small space for an ironing board, even a tiny one.

What a cute outfit! :)
I don’t like washing the dishes, cleaning the house, washing my clothes. I don’t know how to cook and I have never ran an iron over my clothes before. I don’t like household chores, end of. So sorry, I guess I don’t have any to trade XD
Jun 02, 2010 @ 11:17:59
Haha now I wonder how you were able to live on your own :p

Jun 02, 2010 @ 11:18:22
A lot wrinkled is okay, too ;D
Jun 04, 2010 @ 21:45:25
I’ll trade washing the dishes over just about anything!
Jun 06, 2010 @ 09:47:35
But that’s fun! :)
Jun 04, 2010 @ 23:23:57
I’ll wash dishes, wash clothes, clean the toilet/bathroom, cook, etc. The only chore I hate is ironing clothes! Takes me 30 minutes to iron a single blouse. =\ Spell FAIL haha
Jun 06, 2010 @ 09:48:14
That is a waste of electricity! Haha

I learned a no-iron trick working at a dry cleaners. Place the wrinkly clothes in a dryer. Take a no-lint tea towel and dampen it….not wet, just damp. Throw the towel in the dryer, run on Air Fluff – no heat for 5 minutes, maybe 10. Quick! Put on your non-wrinkled clothes and go buy some new shoes.
