Do not judge a book by its cover, they say. But it’s not a sin to appreciate a nice book cover, right? I may not buy every book I see that looks nice, I,  however, have accumulated quite a collection of books that are easy on the eyes. And lovely on the nose (i.e. can induce euphoria when sniffed for more than 5 seconds).

And so the idea to create outfits based on pretty book covers was born. The first few of these will be based on some of my favorite books, of course. In time, when laziness does not creep in, I will turn to just about any book (fiction/non-fiction) with a cover that makes me sigh.

One Hundred Years of Solitude was my first Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the book that made me fall in love with magical realism. No other genre inspires and depresses me at the same time. It inspires me to see the world differently. And depresses me because it makes me wish I CAN write, know what I mean?

Imagine wearing this outfit and meeting a Buendia. Misfortunes may befall you or you may forget the word for shoes or bangles but you know that you look chic. Hopefully, you get out of Macondo before it consumes you.
