This is how you can be a slave to your habits:
You go to the mall to buy a book because you cannot stand another night of tossing and turning. If you don’t read a book before sleeping, you spend at least an hour in sleepless anxiety. At the bookstore, you select a book by one of your favorite writers. You pick the book based on the title alone, relying on the fact that you can clearly remember which of the writer’s books you have sitting in your shelves at home. You do not read the synopsis.
That night, you open the book, preparing to de-stress before sleeping. First paragraph in and you realize that you have read the book before. You curse.
The next day, you go to another mall to buy another book. Or two.
You end up buying five:

No harm done. They were on sale.

i need books too! because watching dvds and tv series sometimes gets boring..nothing is as interesting as reading a book and letting your imagination go wild….

I love July and August because those are the months when Powerbooks and National Bookstore hold their month-long sales :D
I must needs read before bed, too. Even if it’s just one measly chapter.
I once got almost all the way through a book before I realized I had read it before–I guess it didn’t make much of an impression.
Haha, I buy loads of books, but mainly from secondhand book stores. They are so much cheaper there.
grrr made me remember my to-read list ahhahah and its one looooong list
Me too! I need to read in bed before falling asleep too.
Very true. That’s why I don’t watch regular TV>. Haha
Haha yeah! :)
Haha what book was it?
True, true. Brand new books are just too darn expensive.
We should form a club :D
Nothing like reading to relax the mind. :)
