I have not been to the cinema in months, probably close to half a year. Reasons: I hate crowded places and movies are expensive. However, I am willing to be mature and watch The Hunger Games at the cinemas. Why?

I’ve never heard anyone say something bad about these books–I’ll have to steal my sister’s to read.
Until then I’ve been reliving my twenties with a Harry Potter movie marathon while I knit. At least that’s my excuse.

‘The Hunger Games’ is one of the best stories I have ever read.
It is also completely devoid of subtext – which is why the sequels were such disasters.
