I had more than a meter of fabric left after I made the high-waist tabbed skirt. After thinking about it long and hard (about 10 minutes, really), I decided to make a halter type dress. Everything was going well until the fitting. I don’t know where I got this roll of elastic in my stash but it’s probably the worst elastic that I have ever used. If there is a Razzies of sewing notions, this elastic will sweep the awards.
And so I when I tried my dress on, the back part was ballooning in a way that it had no right to. My thought processes went from “Oh! I lost weight!” to “Ack what stupid elastic.” The dress will be left unfinished until the end of days. Or until I find better elastic.
I wasn’t wasting time entirely, though, since I got to shoot these photos while I was cutting the pieces for the dress-that-didn’t-come-to-be.
Because Dwarf is very much committed to his nickname, McSquirmy, these photos are blurry.
