Here is my first DIY tutorial for the year. Hope you guys find it useful!
Difficulty level: easy as breathing. Seriously. This DIY Boho maxi dress is like a simple garter skirt. On steroids.
One my dearest friends will get married next month. It will be held by the beach where we used to swim our thesis stress away back in college. It will be a beautiful affair, I can tell. The place is gorgeous. And today I realized that I have yet to find a dress to wear to the said event.
Today, I also wrote NEED? and WANT? on two post-its and posted them on my monitor. Yes, it’s a way to curb my online shopping addiction. THEN I went to the mall to find fabric for the beach wedding dress. Yes, I needed said fabric.
Very tropical yes? It reminds me of ripe mangoes. It’s soft but not sheer. And not very expensive, too.
Now I already have a general idea on how to go about sewing this dress. I will pretty much copy the elastic waist maneuver I used for the dress I made a few days ago, but I will go maxi this time. Now my problem is the top part….
I don’t know what to choose from these options:
a. Pretty much similar to THIS dress I made a couple of years ago. I love the bow tied at the front…
b. Thin straps with fabric flowers styled like THIS. I am leaning towards this style…
c. Simple halter style tied at the neck like THIS. Halter dresses are simple but sexy…
What do you guys think?
