Have you seen this little pin cushion attached to my sewing machine?

It’s the epitome of ugly and sad. The color is terrible. It was supposed to be a jigsaw puzzle piece but it’s not really clear. And that ribbon! Ugh.
So I whipped a new one up in just a little less than thirty minutes. There really is no need for a tutorial but I felt like taking photos. So…

1) trace the shape of your pin cushion. mine was round. i used a bowl to get the shape.

2) prepare ribbon or string of equal length

3) pin parts together with ribbons at opposite sides

4) sew and leave a gap for turning inside out

5) feed with fiberfill

6) handsew shut

7) ready to be attached to its new bestfriend
And here is Lorelai’s new bling:

Wow, it looks so much better!!! I loved the fabric you choose. I wish i could buy that kind of fabric here but i guess we’re still a town x). Awesome work!
Ooh! Lorelei Gilmore would definitely like that better.
much much better
Beautiful! I’m an invisible follower of your blog. Ganahan man pud ko ug crafts, but I guess I don’t have the “sewing” ability. Hehehe…
Yam, I would need a scrapbook for my poem collection. How much would you charge me for one?
Gian
Love this fabric, too. I’ve been making lotsa stuff with that fabric, actually. I will buy another meter (or two) tonight. haha.
You’re right. They look so pretty together now. :D
Haha thanks! :D
Hi. I’m not doing scrapbooks at the moment, sorry.
Hi!
I made one of these for my sewing machine; and I love it! I used a CD and the size is perfect! However, I went a bit further and added a bum-bag clip so I can clip it on and off.

PS. I just realised this post was made on my birthday! I turned 14…if you wanted to know. :D

hi yam,
just wanted to know what kind of sewing machine you are using. thanks!
Hullo! I’m using an Everyday Homemaker sewing machine. This is from K-Mart, I think,
Instead of your elastic/ribbon to attach to sewing machine, I suggest velcro tape.
i like the design of the bowl you used for the pin cushion. hehehe
Thanks! I’m into beach-y ceramics. :D
