Anything is possible with a good pair (or two) of pliers.
I wanted one of these:

But was only willing to pay for this:

But with some handy tools, I ended up with this:

I have this insane habit of refashioning handmade jewelry that I buy. It’s not an insult to the original crafter, oh no. In fact, I don’t think I will be buying them in the first place if I didn’t think they were gorgeous. The thing is, my hands (and yes, the brain, too) almost always itch to play with metal chains, jump rings, and locks when there is at least one beautiful element around. Often, that beautiful element is a pendant or bead that is part of the handmade item I bought; the very reason for the purchase.
It’s a sickness perhaps?

Original necklace and the fancy rings above from HERE.

that, my dear, is awesomesauce. :) I really like the look of the ring. Makes me think of Balinese metalwork. :)
Ang galing! I really like the way you bended it, it’s so well-made! :)
That is so beautiful! I always envy those intricate rings. I have small fingers, to the point that I have to make special orders from the shops if I want a ring of theirs. Would you believe I only have 3 rings in my lifetime, all of them custom made for my ring size. A saleslady once offered a toe ring for me, maybe in her desperation to have a sale that day, like my fingers were that small!
Thats so amazing! you are sooo crafty and creative!
Thanks! Awesomesauce is my new fave word :)
Thanks! It’s my new favorite. Haha
That’s funny!
I have small fingers, too. That’s why I stick to adjustable cocktail rings. Good thing they’re cheap :D
Thanks! :)
That is @#$%&*(& gorgeous!! I wish I had a pendant like that so I can finally use my pliers.
There are some on Etsy! I tried to buy but had stop myself. Hahaha
