I apologize for using this photo. It’s just that I think this photo of you is incredibly cute and fun. Without it this digital scrapbook link would have looked boring.
Love and kisses,
Meream
I have noticed that there are now more scrapbooking elements related to crafting over at Scrapblog. Of course, I had to take advantage and make a scraplink for one crafty blogfriend, Jonette of The Hobby Horse. The first moment I saw the banner of her blog load, I knew I was hooked.
And speaking of hooks, she makes kickass stuff with her knitting needles. I will definitely hound her for tips when I finally decide to learn this wonderful craft.
How amazing is it that Scrapblog has a sticker of the Mad Hatter? Nothing left to do but to make a scraplink for Your Paper Heart.
Sam was a high school classmate of the boyfriend. I often stalked her Multiply blog. And now I will hide my stalker self in shame.
But really, Sam writes beautifully. No surprise there since the boyfriend tells me that they were in the school paper together. Besides, it’s not hard to like a girl who loves turquoise, Johnny Depp, Spongebob, and good art.
That’s right, Scraplink Saturdays are back. Pfft, who am I kidding? Nobody missed these.
But anyhooo…I am still bent on getting better at scrapbooking and this is definitely one way to practice. While I may be doing really well on my “draw something once a week” resolution, I feel that I need more things that can help me squeeze out whatever visual creativity I have left.
Oh yeah, funny thing. The first week of my “draw something once a week” exercise, I made something utterly laughable that when I compared it to a drawing I made 10 years ago, I got depressed and cried. I guess this will not make sense unless I show you the drawings but I am still not brave enough to do that.
What I can show you right now is a digital scrapbook page — a scraplink to the lovely blog of Miss Neira:
Too much vintage, you ask? Well, Miss Neira’s blog has that power to transport you to times when women thought lingerie, pearls, and understated sexiness are the most important things one must possess.
Oh yeah, she’s pretty, too. Always looks adorable in her outfit posts.
Enjoy her blog!
PS. She is having a giveaway. This tribute will not, in any way, make me win because she chooses the winner using a random generator thingy. Just letting you know.
Being a lover of words, it is safe to say that I know many people who write beautifully that they seem to speak with the very core of your soul. But there are only less than five of these people who I am lucky to call as friends. One of these is Chin.
Chin is the best writer I know in my circle of friends, and believe me, most of my friends are good with spinning tales.
So head on over to The Nevergirl to get a taste of just how great a storyteller Chin is. Words are like putty in her hands.
When I first started working, I met a group of people who found their element when there were plates of food in front of them. Payday always meant dinner at a local resto or cafe that offers food that has never graced our palate. The person who never missed any of the culinary adventures was Line. And she has a food blog!
Line facts:
1. She eats and eats but never gains weight. I am jealous.
2. She loves purple.
3. She hates photos of her. Which means that she will hate me for this scraplink. But I am hoping that the purple background will make her forgive me.
4. She has food for everyone. During meetings, we always turned to her for snacks. I’m sure the team leaders still do that.
5. She did not lose her patience when Leylan and I suggested the silliest names for her blog.
So I figured I’d make the scraplink posts a Saturday feature. I made this particular scrapbook page before we left for our little island getaway. It seemed cute then but I’m having second thoughts about it now. But since I’m pressed for time and I know that there really is no chance I can come up with anything much cuter because the link will lead you to a website that is the very definition of cute overload, I’d just post the scraplink now.
One Red Robin is Joanna’s little gem of a blog. She is a Filipina in Australia and she makes the most amazing softies. Her creations make me wish that shipping to the Philippines is not expensive. I can only dream of owning some of her dolls. I was lucky enough to win a postcard with a photo of one of her creations but I’d want to own of the real things someday.
